How to use the Skimmer Saver
1. Prepare the Skimmer Saver
Get the sealing components ready for installation.
- Apply marine-grade silicone to the bottom of the rubber washer
- Ensure the silicone is evenly distributed for a watertight seal
2. Insert Into Leaking Suction Line
Place the Skimmer Saver into the suction line that is leaking.
- Push the Skimmer Saver firmly into skimmer or suction line
- Confirm it sits evenly and centered
3. Build the Tightening Tool
Use the included disk to create a tightening tool.
- Glue the disk into a 2″ coupler
- Glue the coupler into a short piece of 2″ PVC pipe
- Allow the assembly to fully dry
4. Tighten the Installation
Secure the Skimmer Saver for a permanent seal.
- Insert the tool you’ve now made with the disk into the skimmer or suction line
- Reach the top of the Skimmer Saver
- Tighten the Skimmer Saver until snug
